Cautions for use
- The unique foam of indigo dye may react with ultraviolet rays from sunlight or incandescent light, causing slight yellowish discoloration.
Please keep the fabric away from direct UV exposure.
- After dyeing, we remove the scum and apply a natural treatment to minimize color fading. However, some fading or color transfer may still occur due to friction when using the fabric.
Please wash separately from other items.
- Do not store the fabric in direct contact with white or light-colored fabrics, as color transfer may occur.
Care Instructions
- For the first 2–3 washes after purchase, we recommend gently washing the fabric in warm water with a moderate amount of neutral detergent.
- If discoloration occurs due to UV exposure, soak the fabric in 70°C (158°F) water for at least 30 minutes, then rinse in cold water to help reduce yellowing.
- To remove scum buildup, hand-wash the fabric in hot water once every six months to a year.
- Machine washing (delicate cycle) is also possible, but please use a detergent free of fluorescent brighteners and bleaching agents.
- With repeated washing, the scum will gradually be removed, enhancing the vivid color of the natural indigo dye. During this process, a brownish-yellow residue, characteristic of natural indigo dye, may appear.
