Product Description
The original treasure, stored in Shosoin, is considered to be a table overlay for offerings. The offerings are placed in front of Buddha.
Over a dark blue background, a large flower tree and two water birds face each other (under Buddha's statue). They are represented through plain dyeing. It is believed that the original piece is a masterpiece among the other treasure dyed items.
It is a luxurious Furoshiki with its colorful flowers and dancing birds. As a large-sized cloth of 112cm, it can be used for various purposes such as a tablecloth or as a tapestry.

Shosoin
A treasure trove that houses a large number of arts and craft items centered on the Tempyo era, including items once belonging to Emperor Shomu. It is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage (cultural heritage) as a part of "Todaiji".
