Message from CEO

I want to address the abiding mind

In 1937, when our company was founded, students carried their textbooks wrapped in furoshiki, and there were people who carried items with large furoshiki.

Furoshiki was an essential daily item back then.

Our lifestyile has changed in the last 80 years or so.
Many things have disappeared while smart and handy products been produced.

The history of Furoshiki is quite long; the Shosoin Treasure House(Opened: 756 AD) still keeps furoshiki from a thousand years ago.
Why do people still use furoshiki after 1300 years?

I believe people find value in it beyond its usefulness as a tool.
You will discover 'something special' in the object wrapped by Furoshiki.
It comes from the 'Heart', the desire to treat the contents with care.
Additionally, it may be because of 'the mindset of respect' towards the recipient when wrapping.

We want to convey 'the abiding mind' even in this fast-changing time. For this reason, we continue to try new things.
Our Musubi brand is always created with each employee's thought that #I want it to be like this". These thoughts are inspired by Japanese Local artisants, creators, and customers from both Japan and beyond.

The name 'Musubi' is descended from 'MUSUHI'. The origin of 'Musu' is said to be from the words "birth" or "born", and "Hi" is from "spirit". 'Musubu(to tie)' also comes from the same origin.

We take a step forward aiming to be a presence like 'a platform', where 'spritually affulent life' through furoshiki makes people smile all over the world.
