Furoshiki SDGs LIFE 2025

We're thrilled to announce the upcoming 4th edition of 'Furoshiki SDGs Life,' scheduled for May 2025.
This year, our theme is...

"BOUSAI (Disaster Prevention)"

Learn how to use a simple piece of loth to tie, carry and protect in times of emergency.
In a disaster, you can only rely on your own hands and knowledge. Furoshiki can transform into a practical bag or backpack to support daily life―and with just a few tying techniques, it can even be used as a triangular bandage or for warmth.

We'll reuse furoshiki that are unused at home in schools.

Together with everyone, we hope to pass on the environmentally and people-friendly culture of furoshiki to the next generation. We’ve launched a project to reuse furoshiki that are sitting unused at home. Volunteers will receive a ticket to join a furoshiki workshop at either MUSUBI Kyoto or Tokyo.
